The insects and the frog
The Insects and the Frog is a playful story for young English learners that combines simple language, animal vocabulary, movement, and playful storytelling.
Bee is looking for her friends — Butterfly, Caterpillar, Ladybug, and Snail — as they play hide and seek. Children follow Bee as she finds each insect in a different place: on top of the flower, under the flower, and behind the tree. But suddenly, a frog appears and wants to eat Ladybug! The insects quickly hide just in time.
The story provides opportunities to practise insect vocabulary, simple prepositions of place, and action language while encouraging children to move and engage with the characters.
The resource includes the story video and the story script with yoga poses and animal movements, making it easy to use the story as part of an English, movement, yoga, or mindfulness lesson.
